Scala BASE meeting #8 - 1/13/2009 at Twitter HQ!

It's time to get BASE 2009 rolling.

The next Scala BASE meeting will be on Tuesday 13th January, and will be held in the Twitter offices in San Francisco. The offices are at:

This month we will be looking at TwiTerra (http://twiterra.com/) - a Scala application that displays twitter re-tweets on a world globe. The project uses Lift's ORM, Actors and NASA WorldWind. It should be an interesting discussion.

We will aim to meet at the Twitter offices by 7pm. Please try and arrive a little early to sign in, etc.

For anyone interested, the offices are a short (<10 minute) walk from the Caltrain station. There is a bullet from Mountain View to SF that leaves Mountain View at 5:58pm and arrives at 6:44pm - perfect timing for a 7pm start.
